Here's their description of the capacitor: " Identical in Appearance and Performance to Original Components used in a wide variety of Fender guitars and basses from 1964 to 1971. Capacitor: The capacitor we used in the wiring was a 1964-1971 Ceramic Disk 0.05mF Orange Dime Cap that we bought from Luxe Radio.

Both push pull pots are full 250K CTS pots and the output jack is a multi contact pure tone jack. When you pull the tone pot up it is basically a bright switch and really adds new tonal capabilities to this guitar. When the volume pot is pulled up it engages a treble bleed circuit so that when you roll down the volume it still retains all the highs. It's got 2 push pull pots and when they both are down it functions like a normal Musicmaster. It's got a custom wiring harness that adds an extra layer of versatility to this one pickup guitar. All the screws on the bridge work too so you can still adjust string height and intonation!Įlectronics: The electronics on this guitar are new and wired in house. The saddles in it are also original and sound great! It's in amazing condition for it's age with minimal wear on it. It looks great on this guitar and fits in nicely with it's vintage vibe.īridge: The bridge on this guitar is the original 1966 Musicmaster II bridge. Neckplate: The neckplate on this guitar a new replacement one, however, it has been aged to match the look of everything else on this guitar. It's an amazing vintage tone for a fraction of the price of a 64' Strat. The only difference between a Strat pickup and a Musicmaster pickup is that the pole pieces on a Strat pickup are staggered while the ones on a Musicmaster pickup are flat. This pickup sounds great and has that Strat neck pickup sound. The pre-CBS era guitars are more sought after and fetch higher prices due to the higher quality standard and iconic sound.

It's dated at 10-26-64 and at the time of writing this description it is 10/26/21 so we are celebrating it's 57th birthday! Although it's not the original pickup to this guitar many would consider this to be an upgrade since it is a pre-CBS era pickup. Pickups: The pickup in this guitar is a 1964 Musicmaster pickup. It's in their aged pearl material and looks like an original. It's a super high quality pickguard doesn't look out of place at all on the guitar. Pickguard: The pickguard on this guitar is a new WD custom pickguard. It's got a few dings and scratches which are all photographed in the pictures above but overall for it's age it's in excellent condition! The body also still has the original brass grounding plates in it which is super cool! It's got the original Dakota Red finish on it.
